Step 1
Studio lighting and a top-down camera mount is setup for consistent quality and repeatability
The digital camera (Canon EOS Rebel T5 DSLR) is mounted
Physical artwork is captured digitally using the camera
Step 2
The digitally captured art work is transferred to a physical hard drive (computer) and cloud based storage as redundancy for long term storage
Step 3
The individual files are manually edited using a graphics editor (GIMP) to correct the defects that might be present due to the wear and deterioration that has occurred over time
Some pieces requiring little to no editing with others requiring major restoration
Step 4
Files are saved and uploaded
